The world is getting more and more complicated. Wild fires and hurricanes used to be rare events but now devastate communities annually. Inflation has made things more expensive than ever before. This makes it incredibly difficult for people to find insurance for their homes, businesses and other important assets in their lives. Novella is using AI to help people protect the things that are important to them but difficult to protect.
We’re an insurance brokerage, but not the kind you’re used to. When insurance brokers have a customer they can’t find coverage for, they come to us. We use our expertise and AI models to find them the right coverage and protection they need. In the world of insurance, we’re called a wholesaler.
Traditional wholesalers help brokers by manually searching for coverage on their behalf - emails and phone calls back and forth, applications filled out by hand. All of these inefficiencies cause month long wait times that are frustrating to customers. Novella is changing that as the first AI-powered insurance wholesaler fixing the process for brokers and helping them insure their most complicated customers.
Insurance is the backbone of our economy. The first insurance policies were sold over 700 years ago; and without the ability to offset risk, things can’t be built. Things like climate change and inflation are making insurance more complicated by the day. As our world gets more complicated, so follows insurance.
Novella is building the AI engine that will power insurance distribution as the world rapidly changes and risk get’s harder and harder to underwrite.

We’re looking for people who want to build. Who like getting their hands dirty and want to work on hard problems. Our engineers don’t just write code - they speak to customers, fight with our product managers (and CEO) and push to integrate the newest AI features in all areas of our stack.
Our team is dual headquartered between NYC and Tel Aviv. We believe in working together as much as possible even though we aren’t geographically in the same place. We aren’t afraid to get on a plane to solve a problem face to face but we’re also determined to make the two sites feel like one.
We believe in compensating our team for the long run. We want people who want Novella to succeed and want to share in that success. We aim to pay middle of the market salaries but top of the market in equity compensation.
We hire owners and owners are by definition responsible. We generous with our vacation time and trust that team members will take time off when they need it but not abuse the policy.
